"To be short the 2012 Focus SE Hatchback is fun to drive, has a pleasing interior, great ride quality, and plenty of performance for a small hatchback. The base technology package was plenty for me, providing everything I needed. The transmission does take some getting used to, but once you learn the vehicle you'll forget all about it. The fit an finish of the exterior is good, as well as 95% of the interior. The one problem I have had is peeling metallic trim on the steering wheel, which is very disappointing, especially since it's dangerously sharp.Since the vehicle is so new, I cannot speak of the long term reliability, but as of now I have about 42k on my vehicle and all I have done is change the oil and put on some new tires. Outside of the small interior trim problem, I've very happy with my car."
